Sometimes we just need the reminder.
In Christ… you are redeemed. Before your waking mind had the propensity to miss the mark, you were already sinful. Iniquity coursed through the bloodstream of humanity until the blood of the Lamb infiltrated our veins.
And within every heartbeat lies His resurrection power, pulsing to the beat of the words that Paul penned so long ago: In Christ.
In Christ, you are a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come. And that newness is not a one-time, day-of-salvation kind of new. It is available to you every morning. Great is His faithfulness.
In Christ, you have every spiritual blessing. Your portion is as secure as your eternity.
In Christ, your portion is as secure as your eternity.
In Christ, your inheritance is secure and your identity is sealed. You are a son. A daughter. A co-heir with the Christ who has redeemed you.
In Christ, you have hope. The very hope of His calling.
In Christ, you have access to the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
In Christ, you have the ability to know – first hand – the surpassing greatness of His power toward us.
Toward the ones who believe in Christ.
Hope, Glory, Power.
In Christ.
Do you know who He is, this Christ who made a way for you? Do you really know? Or has familiarity blurred the lines of majesty? If so, let’s take a moment to make it plain, to make Him plain, this Christ who covers us.
He has been raised to life, having conquered the power of death, hell, and the grave itself. Now He is seated in heavenly places, ever watchful of his sheep, ever interceding on their behalf. Did you know that? Did you know that He prays for you?
He prays for you.
Let’s not overlook the fact that He is seated in majesty. He is not anxiously pacing the golden streets of heaven, wondering how to win. He is already victorious; he has nothing left to prove.
Christ is above all rule and authority and power and dominion. Above it. Not beneath it. Not subject to anyone’s rule. He is King of kings and Lord of lords, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.
He has nothing left to prove.
